Tech Companies Offer Regular Updates to Secure Android Phones
When last month a major flaw in the code of the Android operating system was discovered, the world’s Android users suddenly
became extremely paranoid. It was only natural that some paranoia would
settle in, especially when you consider the fact that this flaw in the
Android operating system put hundreds of millions of Android users at
the risk of being hacked and having all of their personal information
stolen.
In order to assuage their users’
fear, major companies that are tied to the Android brand, companies like
LG and Samsung whose phones feature the Android operating system and of
course Google itself, the company that has created the operating system
are all offering Android users monthly updates. These updates will be
used to patch holes in the operating system’s security, fix any glitches
that could allow hackers in and, most importantly, keep the operating
system running smoothly and without any of the frequent glitches that
many people had begun to associate with the Android brand after a period
of shoddy performance.
This is a welcome move from these
companies, as in an era where the vast majority of personal information
can be found online there can be no limit to the amount of safety
precautions you can take as far as technology goes.
